Whether you say pop or soda, or name your special brand (I'm-a-just-give-me-Coke kind of girl) you will love the Soda Pop set from My Favorite Things that I used for today's card. As a matter of fact, I made two cards today with this set and that makes me happy to have another post in the hopper for Monday.
You know how earlier this week I shared that I was having a hard time with my mojo. Some of that has to do with having so many new things that I just get confused about what to play with next, lol! I also have quite a few classes I've taken online and I feel I've not done a good job of utilizing the skill/techniques that I've been learning.
So I made a list of all the ideas that I wanted to try and I wrote them down. Now every time I stamp I move through the list, one item at a time. Then I do the same thing for other classes, etc. The reason that I hope this will work for me, is that I will always be able to "think ahead" to the next technique on the list and have an idea in mind before I even get to the craft room. I also won't waste time just sitting there wondering what to stamp when I do get time to stamp!
I'll let you know how it works out! Now on to my card for today.
First on my list was to play along with the (CAS)E This Sketch challenge for this week. Keeping it simple is always a challenge for me! I have lots of white space on my card even though I originally wanted to keep it to one layer. It was so much easier to keep my rows in line using a thin rectangle die just as a template, and in the end, I decided to die cut the panel.
My images look a bit sketchy because I used Distress Inks to stamp. The orange slices are popped up and the others are stamped directly on the panel.
Here's the fun sketch!
I'll use the Orange Crush Soda Bottle die cut and image from the set on the inside and I think this will be a cute Valentine or Just Because card. What do you think? I'd love to hear from you!
